Leave the light line at home!

Today we took 26 people down to the Coronado Islands and came back with 12 Yellowtail, 1 halibut, 9 Calico bass, 1 sheephead, 3 sculpin.  Lost over 20 yellowtail today on the light line. These are big fish and with the Bluefin around as well we don’t recommend putting anything lighter than 30 pound in the water. 

 

Next trip is tomorrow morning and is going for sure!

 

We would recommend a 30lb flyline rod, a 40-50lb yo-yo rod and a jig stick. Remember to have fresh line on your reels and a pocket full of 1/0- 2/0 mustad j hooks. 

 

Full day Coronado Islands trips will be departing seven days a week. Departures are at 5:30 AM, check-in begins at 4:45 AM. Passports are required.
